Description
Vago Elote is a unique mezcal that is at once approachable and complex. To create it, the passionate Garcia family make their beautiful Espadín and then fire up a second distillation of the liquid over lightly toasted corn where the vapors simply “kiss the corn”, in their words. The result is a unique mezcal with a creamy-smooth finish. Originally created by Aquilino Garcia Lopez in the pristine mountain town of Yegolé, 4,000 ft above sea level, the family now carries forward this tradition. Rated 96 points, Chairman’s Trophy in the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Competition.
